UTF REACHES TENTATIVE AGREEMENT!
The Union of Teaching Faculty has reached an agreement with the Central Michigan University Administration--contingent faculty have made important gains in the areas of job security, wages, and other conditions of employment.
We could not have got to this point without your support--thank you!
We still have much to do--both on campus and in Lansing--and we are committed to enhance higher education at the local, state, and national level. Through a collective voice, we will continue to advocate policies that improve the welfare of teachers, students, universities, and our communities.We hope that you will follow us as we continue the fight for all contingent faculty. The Union of Teaching Faculty, AFT, and the AFL-CIO are committed to all university employees and we hope that you join us in support of AFSCME local 1568 and the CMU Faculty Association as they begin their own negotiations with the CMU administration.
