Members of the Ankeny Lions Club will hold their annual Candy Days fundraiser Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15, at several Ankeny grocery stores.
In exchange for a monetary contribution or a gift of used eyeglasses, prescription sunglasses or hearing aids, individuals can select a package of rolled candies. Proceeds support the Lions Club Leader Dogs for the Blind program and the Ankeny club’s community service projects.
Ankeny Lions Club members on Saturday will be in front of Hy-Vee, 410 N. Ankeny Blvd.; and both Fareway stores, 3205 N. Ankeny Blvd. and 109 S.E. Oralabor Road. On Sunday, they will be at Hy-Vee and also Dahl’s, 1802 N. Ankeny Blvd. Puppies training to be leader dogs will also be present. For information, call 964-4908.
