Creative writing - a poem, written on St Patrick's Day, 1987, in Wheaton, at the Seven Gabels Tavern:

Find your rock. Hold on to it. Never let it go. But, if you lose your rock,

Find another rock, and hold onto it Until it is time to give it away.

Never surrender! Merely retreat And then, if necessary, Fall back some more:

Fall back on a rock bed; Fall back on a free fall; Fall back on God' Fall back on yourself.

Never surrender! Believe in something. Find your rock. Never let it go.
